The Volusia Innovation Challenge offers aspiring entrepreneurs, innovators, and small business owners a chance to validate their product concepts through a pitch competition and compete for cash and in-kind prizes to launch or scale up their ventures. Cast your vote for this year’s “People’s Choice” for one of the many creators and entrepreneurs exhibiting at the event’s Innovation Showcase. Watch the finalists pitch their innovative business concept or idea to a panel of judges. Each finalist will have five minutes to explain their concept and judges will consider the following to determine the winner: Market Viability Innovation and Differentiation Feasibility Financial Viability Prizes awarded First place: $10,000 Second place: $5,000 People’s Choice (showcase favorite): $2,000 (Awarded by the audience. 1st and 2nd place prize winners are not eligible.) This is a prime opportunity for you to interact with the next generation of innovators and learn more about their business product. Enjoy an evening of innovation, networking and discovery. Beverages and light Hors d'oeuvres will be served. PLEASE NOTE: You must register online and show your event ticket to parking attendants in the West or South Lot Parking areas to obtain free parking for the event. If you do not have your ticket, you will be responsible for any parking fees. The event will be held on the second level in meeting rooms 201 A-B-C.
