"Sissy Barr" Art Showcase Open House

June's Showcase features the artwork of Elizabeth 'Sissy' Barr. Join us in June for this special Art Showcase as we bring the Museum's collection of Sissy Barr's artwork out for display and join it with pieces held by the City of New Smyrna Beach, and other local collectors. A visual presentation of Sissy Barr's work and life story that was curated with Mrs. Barr's assistance in 2019 will also be available throughout the evening. The first Saturday of each month serves up a full day of events here in Canal Street’s Downtown Arts District. Join us for this free open house during the evenings Gallery Walk as the Museum explores the intersection of art and history. Visit with local artists Jimmy Lane and Cathy Berse as they conduct a live-paint event and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and light snack. Don't miss this special Art Showcase featuring one of central Florida's most celebrated modern impressionist painters.
